Lots of New Stuff!
- A New Face:
We would first and foremost, like to introduce our new Bass player, Ty Howie! Ty is a great dude and we vibe really well together and we’re extremely excited to be playing with him. He is writing bass lines to all of our new stuff… which brings us to the next point…
- New Songs, New Album:
We have 6 new songs available for download. This is our new free-to-download EP called “Changing Seasons”: (http://www.mediafire.com/?ned1yor56eatndo). We also are writing even more songs and by the end of this year, we are shooting to release a new album. We’re all a lot more confident with this new stuff and we feel that it accurately reflects where we’re moving with the band. We’re opening up, incorporating new styles and leaving our writing process open to whatever we write… We felt that the first album was lacking a little spark and we think this new stuff is ten times the killer with not as much filler. ;)
- New Online Everything:
We have updated all our online designs and added a Bandpage on our Facebook Fan Page (http://www.facebook.com/fallofspring). We have a new Big Cartel Merch Store (http://fallofspring.bigcartel.com/) with 3 new merch designs! All designs are being printed and will be on sale online soon and at our shows soon as well. Our dot-com has been updated with a brand new layout as well and all the layouts share the same look and feel. We also have 3 new logos. All designs were done by Joshua Raymond Whynot (http://www.facebook.com/joshuawhynot) and all pictures were taken by Kaiden Seven (http://www.kaidensevenphoto.com/)
- New Approach:
We’re really going to be concentrating on us. We’re taking a step back and writing stuff that we believe in, that we like, and that we can properly back. A while ago, we were pushing a product that didn’t feel totally real and that didn’t accurately reflect who we are as musicians. That being said, we are happy with the new songs we’ve been writing and we’re going to continue to write/record for the bulk of this year. We’re also going to be streaming ALL of our band practices on Ustream (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/fall-of-spring-practices). We’re letting people (who are interested) see what we’re really like, how we write, and what it feels like to be Fall of Spring. Bands usually do Studio Updates before an album release but you don’t really ever get to see how a record has been written and recorded, etc. You will watch our songs develop and grow with us. This is something new we’re trying and we’re really excited about it.
Above all, we’re trying to create something we believe in, so other people can believe in it too… not the other way around. Out with the old, in with the new… we’re back and better than ever.
